“Great for your first conveyor sushi place”
This was our first experience with a conveyor belt. Although I was hoping there would be food on the belt and you would take what you want - it's not. You order what you want, and then it comes out freshly made on the conveyor belt. Not what I expected, but knowing that it was freshly made as you... can see them make it, was good enough for me. They had an English menu but noticed the other menu seemed to have more, so no problem using Google Translate. We ordered enough food for two and drinks totaling about $32 USD -not bad! Overall, I would recommend - as along as you don't expect the food to be already on the belt.

“Great Sushi, Troublesome Ordering Experience”
We enjoyed our dinner at Toyama but I wanted to call out a couple of things to fellow English-speaking travelers. The sushi is very good at Toyama, all clean, fresh cuts and generous-sized portions at a very fair price. First, just be aware that this is no longer a working kaiten (conveyor belt)... system. You order all of your items individually using an iPad - which, I'm not gonna lie, we were a little disappointed. The conveyor belt now simply shuttles photocards around with pictures and prices of their premium offerings. Unfortunately, all of the photocards are in Japanese so we were a bit stumped on what was what - outside from some of the more obviously recognizable fish images. Second heads-up: Toyama takes pride in having an English menu, which is an iPad allowing you to select your items. The only problem was that only about 1/2 of the actual menu items had English names and descriptions, even with the iPad in "English" mode. The other half were all in Japanese. Which is a bummer because the images were small and it was difficult to determine what was what. Unfortunately, most of the staff spoke only small bits of English, so we just stuck to ordering lots of tuna, crab, shrimp and maki rolls. Now for the good: The fish was great and relatively inexpensive. We ate a ton of medium-fatty tuna and drank a couple of beers and our grand total was just under $50USD. Overall, I would recommend Toyama because the food and value were great - just be aware of some of the shortcomings if you don't read or speak Japanese.

“Wow!”
We walked into this small restaurant after the one we had intended to dine in was closed… no regrets - the sushi here is just fantastic… all topped off with a delicious green tea ice cream… recommended

“Good sushi, cool place”
We were hungry and wanted sushi. Stumbled across this place and was not disappointed. It was also a good surprise that is was a conveyer belt sushi place since we wanted to try that. You order through an iPad in front of you, the menu is in English. The food came quickly on the conveyer belt. Th...e good thing about this is you can just order what you want, when you want. Food was good so will definitely recommend trying this place 😃
