“'Nonki' True to its name!”
Nonki means lively in Japanese and this place lives up to its name, especially on weekends. Very authentic 'izakaya' style restaurant with great food at a reasonable price. Few caveats. 1. Smoke. Japanese are very tolerant of smoking in restaurants and, unlike many Westerners, will light up without ...a second thought. If you are turned off by tobacco don't come here. 2. If you are looking for a quiet night out with a date this is not the place. Everyone is drinking and it is loud. 3. Menu is in Japanese so it may be tough to order although the staff is very friendly and will help you out. I know this sounds like a lot to get over but I do recommend this restaurant.
