“Horrible service, hidden service charge!”
Menu seems affordable, but when we went to pay it was at least 600 yen higher. We brought over the menu we were given to clarify what we ordered (as the receipt was understandably in japanese). The server went and rifled through some other menus and showed us an incredible small print of a 300 yen/p...erson service charge in that menu. This was nowhere in our menu, as we stared at it for 30 minutes before our first order was brought (for myself) and another 20 minutes for my friend. We ended up sharing our meals as hers was taking so long and neither of us wanted to wait. It also took forever to get the server to come to offer us menus (about 10 minutes after we sat) despite us hitting the call button repeatedly during that time. Food was good but small portions, ended up at 7/11 after to top up. Not recommended!

“Torisho Fukui is the worst place to dine!”
This place discriminate foreigners. Mocked at us without knowing that I understood what they said. Really disappointed with such Japanese standards that I always admire! Big disgrace to the Japanese service level. Food is Super bad too. Will advise all to avoid this place! Especially foreigners!!! A...ttached is the photo of the staff that was rude.

“It’s a rip-off restaurant - don’t go”
I went yesterday with a friend, they took a lot of time to come for the order. They actually took first the order from a local couple that arrived later. We asked to come and they said yes but didn’t. After the second chaser they came but neither straight away. The sevice charger was 500Y per person..., it was not mentioned in the menu though. The bill was the interesting and funny momeny as they provided a bill with the total. We did our calculation by ourselves as nobody spoke English and there was 500Y missing. We then asked for an itemised bill and we discovered the prices in the menu where not updated and of course more expensive. They said sorry and literally run away. We did not run away and paid without asking for further evidence as an updated menu, however I highly recommend you to avoid that place. The food was ok. To sum up: slow and not fair service, most important the totally rip-off

“Western people are a joke / ATM to them. Worst food while in Japan.”
The chicken I ordered was a facinating paradox: rubbery, dry, greasy and burned at the same time. Threw up 15 minutes later. Literaly the worst food I've eaten while in Japan.... Oh yeah and it cost me 40 euro's. Excuse me, I have to run to the toilet now!

“Fun dinner and entertaining environment ”
We wandered out the back of the Kyoto station and found this restaurant. 2 floors it seems with an open kitchen which was fun to watch. Waitress knew enough English to help us and we shared a few plates of chicken. A bit of an oddity was getting charged 300 yen each for a table charge. First time th...is happened in Japan. Lots of locals and business men from the train station I guess. Saki was nice
