Sakuraen

We visited the Sakuraen Sake brewery with the intention of also visiting at least one more in the area; unfortunately this was the only one which was open! Nevertheless we enjoyed the hour spent looking around the small collections and watching the short videos. There is a small cafe serving snack...s and light meals and a shop which sells souvenirs. The shop also allows sake tasting (obviously to make a sale) and there did not appear to be a limit on how many tipples you could have! Needless to say we made a purchase of 2 bottles. We accessed the Sake brewery area from the Hanshin Uozaki station and walked for around 15-20 minutes. The area itself is not great for walking due to the high volume of traffic; especially lorries etc - it does feel very industrial. If you have a car then use it or grab a cab – it’s a better option.
