“A fun night out!”
Located in the busy Ponticho street this teppanyaki restaurant was lots of fun. We enjoyed tuna, sirloin steak and salad from the menu plus our special request of garlic fried rice. All dishes were very tasty. Our waitress was superb; nothing was too much trouble and she was lots of fun. Our eve...ning was made by the arrival of a group of six people from Kyoto who soon started a party for us! I would strongly recommend choosing this restaurant if you are seeking a fun night out.

“A hidden gem in the charming alleys of Pontocho.”
We found a gem tucked away in Pinto ho Alley, Gion. The food was absolutely delicious, and the whole experience felt so personal—at one point, they even called us up to watch the chef cook our steak with a burst of flame right in front of us. The tongue meat was tender and flavorful—it practically m...elted on the palate. We’re so glad we chose this restaurant; it did not disappoint. Everything was perfect. The staff were all friendly, and the chef was incredibly approachable and hands-on. Highly recommended! We even got a photo with him.

“A gem in the basement of Gino in Pontocho Alley.”
We discovered this hidden gem, and the food is absolutely delicious. What makes the experience truly special is the personal touch—just before the chef starts cooking your meal, they call you over to take a video as they prepare it with an impressive burst of fire, making it feel uniquely tailored t...o you. The tongue steak was exquisitely tender. I was genuinely surprised, as I expected it to be chewy like the one I had in Osaka, but it completely exceeded my expectations. The wagyu beef was another standout—rich, buttery, and melting in your palate with every bite. Highly recommended! The dishes were scrumptious and full of flavor.

“Fantastic Restaurant with stunning food”
We booked this fantastic restaurant whilst in the UK before travelling to Japan and how pleased we were that we booked. We had the 4,800 set meal with an extra dish of beef tongue. It was all superb with a delicious starter of Yuba, a simple by stunning salad preceding the wagyu sirloin which just m...elted in the mouth. We accompanied our meal with the house Red which was beautiful. We are so pleased that we found this small restaurant and are visiting it again tonight for another stunning meal.
