“Horrible take a pass...”
Food was unappetizing, the bill was attrocious. Was empty when I walked in and I should have taken the hint.

“Totally not worth the price! Feel kinda rip-off!”
Saw this recommended on one of the gourmet magazine at the hotel lobby and decided to go for a try since it's not too far off from our hotel.. Food was reasonable but not the price tag... The waitress was not well verse in English and was only keen to write down the order when we were querying abt... the food. Menu was kinda misleading since it was written as assorted chicken stews (5 sticks for 500yen). Since we do not take innards, we thought we could switch to just the chicken meat only). Waitress did nothing to tell us it will not be at 5 sticks for 500 yen if we do so :( When the owner pass us the bill at the end of the meal, there was no receipt and only a total price written on a piece of paper. Somehow can't tally the price using my mental sum.. so decided to ask for a receipt.. although it was all in Jap, i kinda figure out tea was at 400 yen each, appetitizer was at 300 yen each as well... Totally not worth the price! We also realised the y charge for an extra stick when we only ordered 5. All in all, this meal was not worth the price at all! Feel kinda rip-off! Should have done my review checks before coming.. Ended my last night stay in Kyoto with a bad aftertaste..

“Unapologetic Ripoffs”
A crying shame. Six of us, past middle age. Charged us 500 yen for tea, although menu clearly states 210, and refills were full priced. Tiny tiny bowls with 2 penne pasta pieces with mayo were brought to table at start unbidden, we thought they were amuse bouche type thungs, but no, they cost 300 ye...n each and we "should have said no thank you". Food quality was reasonable, but this treatment just left a sour taste. Don't go.

Fantastic staff and amazing food. We had the set menu which was a great variety and includes a salad some delicious chicken skewers and fried chicken. English menu available

“Great food and staff!”
We stumbled upon this place though a recommendation from our hotel. Great food and the staff were extremely nice and attempting to make us feel comfortable despite the language barrier. Great selection of food and reasonably priced. At the end our waiter gave us a little gift to take with us back to... the hotel. Would recommend for others to try this place!
