“Eat everything”
Their speciality is chicken, so seriously you have no excuses but to try everything, you won't be disappointed, we weren't. They serve a particular breed of chicken from Akita prefecture, it's a little more chewy than the average chicken but that in itself makes every 'ordinary' dish a whole new exp...erience. Staff are helpful and the ordering is simple. Interior is sleek and classy. Be mindful that a lot of the dishes are skewers so the price is for per skewer (if in doubt just ask, staff are nice), not cheap but the quality is worthy of the money. Highly recommended to everyone, especially if you think chicken is boring.

“Expensive and slow service”
The place has nice ambience and decor, but apart from that unfortunately the rest was terrible. The food is priced per portion so it was quite expensive, and the asparagus was old and hard. The green tea is about S$5 per glass and not refillable. They also include an appetiser by default (even if yo...u don’t order it) that costs 480 yen each. We ordered only a few dishes and it came to a bill of S$150 for frankly mediocre food. The wait staff was also rude to my mom and interrupted her when she was trying to order by holding up his hand and making a “shh!” sound. The table next to us was smoking and we weren’t asked whether we wanted a non-smoking table. To cap it all off, the food was the slowest i’d ever experienced in Japan. We had to wait ten minutes between each course on average. Would not recommend. There are many other restaurants out there with better food and service.

“Chicken done delicious!”
Chicken is king here. They source a special chicken called jidori. I have no idea what that means but it tastes fantastic. Staff are attentive and the sake choice is great. Prices are also on the lower side of expectation. Chefs cook right in front. Great place. Eat here!

“No English menu although staff speak a little...”
We weren't that hungry when we stumbled upon this place and really just wanted a little snack. I should have tried the yakitori but thought that the Oyakodon was still quite nice. You could taste that the chicken was flamed grilled. The teriyaki chicken set was also very nice but probably, in my opi...nion, quite pricey for what was served up. I'm not confident that this restaurant was so good that I would return at some other point unfortunately...
