“Just spectacular, amazingly patient for us clueless gaijin!”
the absolute best Kyoto has to offer! amazing service, atmosphere, food, everything. We are from the states and had no idea how to eat sukiyaki and were willing to learn. They are so patient and kind, and they really made this an experience and meal to remember. This place is awesome, do not miss th...is!!!!!

“Wonderful service and experience”
The food was incredible and the service was outstanding! We went with a group of 6 and had a private room. Would highly recommend as a fun way to enjoy the area!

“Friendly, charming and delicious feast”
A real feast. We had very friendly and attentive service. Accommodating to our 11 year old. Quality of meat was very good. The noodles were outstanding.

“Delicious and lovely service”
We absolutely loved this restaurant. Our servers were very sweet. We were a party of five and didn’t fit their 4 tops, but they were happy to squeeze us in and it worked well for us. Their English was OK, but they had a script that described the food experience for us. Our service was timely and ver...y friendly. They also allowed us to only order 4 dishes for our party of five as we were not super hungry and had been overfed everywhere in Kyoto so far. It turned out to be the perfect amount of food. And the food itself was just amazing. Our first shabu shabu experience and wouldn’t change it for anything. Can’t recommend this place enough!

“Excellent dining experience”
This was our best meal in Kyoto. The food and service was exceptional. Took about two hours. We had the pork, pork belly and beef set. Don’t be put off by the dead flying fish in the broth bowl that you will see in the covered bowl at your table if you lift the lid. It is used to flavor the broth ...but is removed before the broth is heated. I’m not a seafood person (other than sushi) so I was worried everything was going to taste fishy but it didn’t taste in the least bit fishy. This shabu shabu was way better than any I have had before and also better than any sukiyaki I’ve had. The meal included an appetizer, shabu shabu, a bowl of noodles after the shabu shabu and a bowl of ice cream at the end. Highly recommended!
