Stopped off with husband while waiting for our train - lovely welcome and service with reasonably priced drinks. Much enjoyed stop off!

We wanted a drink from home as we live in Irelabd and they delivered good craic avd drink! The bar staff were super friendly.

“Lively Irish Pub in the Heart of Gion”
Man in the Moon Gion is a small but energetic Irish pub, perfect for a casual drink before heading out to explore Kyoto’s nightlife. The music is loud and the lighting quite bright, giving it a lively, upbeat atmosphere. The service was friendly and efficient, and the drink selection was solid, with... a good range of beers, whiskies, and cocktails. While it’s not the place for a quiet conversation, it’s a fun stop if you’re looking to enjoy a drink in a more Western-style setting amidst the traditional charm of Gion.

“Did not expect to find an Irish pub in Goin! But glad I did”
Baking hot day in May. Im about 20,000 steps in and ma plates are putting. I spot this boozer and logically called in. Super friendly kid behind the bar. Pink of Punk IPA provisioned. Cold. Crisp. Refreshing. How delightful. F1 on the box too. Bingo. I’m only stopping for one as got onsen and a ...rub down later, but what a treasure.

“Nice little Irish(ish) bar”
Typical foreign Irish bar - it’s only small and nothing really Irish about it but friendly service, speaks great English, good drink and snack selection. Disappointing that people smoke here.
