“If you like chicken ”
This restaurant is useful with family in that neighborhood. You can order from onigiri ( rice ball ) for small ones as you like. ( with something or just salt or nothing etc ) I like their tomato Nabe. Also good for drinking. Open only evening.

“Excellent hot pot, beware of the english menu”
We were there around 10 pm on our first night in Tokyo and had a delicious beef stew and super good vegetables + fine beer and good wine in a friendly atmosphere. Great dinner ! On our second visit, however, we tried the raw horse and chicken : they were so cold we could not tell the taste (maybe an... intercultural trick). Great vegetables again. And the dessert were not available but we were not told and had a tea and ice cream served instead. The bill was 1000 yen more than expected and the waiter explained it was because the english menu had not been updated... Too bad, I would have liked to give this restaurant a better grade, but because of this second disappointing attempt, it will only be a B. Avoid the raw meat and head for the hot pots.

“Open late, so a 10PM meal is good. Very Good vegetables and beef, like Shabu Shabu”
Just arrived and was looking for a restaurant still open. Toritei was open at 10PM and looked like a neighborhood pub with quite few kids and couples and friends enjoying food and drink. No English menu but the pictures were enough to order. Something like Shabu Shabu where the vegetables are adde...d to a hot pot and you then add the beef in to cook slowly. Lots of good vegetables and the meat was very good dipped in the sauce which was mild and savory. To start the meal a bowl of cooked chicken parts arrived and it was a little salty and tender. The Suntory beer on tap was tasty.
