“If you are in or coming to Tokyo, you owe it to yourself to try Monja-yaki!”

First of I'd like to clear something up. . . This restaurant has at least two locations. One may well be on the 7th floor of the skytree, but this review (and most of the photos from the previous reviews) are of the restaurant on Tsukishima Monja Street near Tsukishima Station on the Yurakucho subwa...y line. . . It is a smallish, very busy place. As with many of the restaurants on this street, there are stools outside while you wait for a table. You are seated and order your meal. The ingredients are brought to your table which you can then cook yourself or they will cook it for you. Monja-yaki is the Tokyo version of Okonomiyaki. Everyone that told me about it said, "it doesn't look very good, but it tastes good" and they weren't wrong. If you are in or coming to Tokyo, you owe it to yourself to try Monja-yaki!

“OMG.... lots of nsfw ecstatic sounds after our meal”

Not really sure why this was rated any less than five stars. This was a dining experience that filled the belly and touched the soul. Really heavenly. We went here with our tour guide after a day of exploring Tokyo. We had the okonomiyaki and Monjia yaki. Both were splendid but okonomiyaki was more... impressive to my taste buds. Accompanied by beers and saki this just hit the spot. I would say one of our better Dinning experiences. As a plus it's located in an area that is not so crowded and it was a pleasure all around. PS - this review was not exclusively influenced by copious amounts of alcoholic beverages, but they played a role.

“Too much fun”

Going to Japan and not experiencing a Monjayaki is such a shame. Forget the sushis and sashimis, Monjayaki is one of Tokyo’s most popular dishes. And even better if you can make your own Monjayaki. On your visit to Tokyo Skytree, stop by at Tsukishima Meibutsu Monja Daruma. Pour the ingredients on a... grill and take some help from the servers to prepare your on Monja pancake. You might or might not like the taste of the final pancake but the experience is definitely worth a try!

“A sizzling night”

This restaurant is located on the 7th floor of the Tokyo skytree town. At first look, the long queue outside really puts me off. But then it keeps moving rapidly, before long, a table for us is ready. I never had this before but I guess it's easy, you just order in the menu the choice of the combina...tion of ingredients and cook them on the sizzling pan in the centre of the table. But of course we can't manage, we need the waitress to demonstrate once and then we get the clue. We order seafood , vegetable combination and pizza combination, then find out they are not enough for 3 and order 2 portions of different noodles again. Looking at how the waitress frying the noodle is interesting, but a bit more oil than my liking. I suppose these type of sizzling food will go well with beer and cold drinks, just to calm down the fire ha ha! At the end of it, I don't feel full but stuffy, probably too much oil in the process of cooking. The bill is Y5870, guess it's cheap for a place like the Skytree town.
