“A great way to get to know Nepalese cuisine”
I went to Khumbila for lunch and had the buffet option, which was amazing! I really enjoyed both te curry and the noodles, but I think what made my meal perfect was the stuff, who were attentive at all times and always had a smile in their face. Great atmosphere and 100% recommended to everyone who ...wants to try something different!

“Nepalese restaurant in Ebisu”
This restaurant features Nepalese cuisine, and they provides buffet lunch contains several Nepalese dishes during lunch hours. There were two curries, two appetizers, salad, soup, steamed rice, deep fried bread and fried noodles at the counter. Those dishes were not high quality, but its taste was O...K, and I thought it was cooked at Nepalese style. It's good place to enjoy casual Nepalese food.

“Delicious and Vegetarian Friendly”
Tibetan food is one of my favorite cuisines so I was excited to find Khumbila in Tokyo. The menu includes Nepalese and Tibetan dishes. We have eaten here 3 times now and all of those times we received excellent service and had delicious food. I love Tibetan, Nepalese and Indian food because of th...e many vegetarian choices so I was a little disappointed to find more meat on the menu and less vegetarian foods, including the momos. I have learned that just because something isn't on the menu doesn't mean it can't be prepared. So glad I asked! Every time I have been there I have had food prepared for me without meat, even the momos! They are so accommodating and friendly. In fact this last time we didn't have a reservation and they were booked with end of the year parties. They said they would see what they could do and we could try again a little later. We went to grab a beer around the corner and when we can back they managed to find a little spot for us. Add in the delicious food and you can see why we keep going back!

“Authentic, Delicious Nepalese Cuisine in Tokyo”
Khumbila is a Tokyo landmark that has the best Indian/Nepalese I've ever had. Not only is the cuisine consistently delicious and healthy, it's the only Indian restaurant I've eaten at that doesn't leave me feeling heavy or sick afterward. Some standout dishes include the spinach tofu appetizer, the ...momos, the thick fried noodles and the curries. The Nepalese wine, which is almost like a thin less sweet lassi, is fantastic. Since the restaurant opened over 30 years ago, the owners bring all of the servers, cooks, and ingredients in from Nepal to keep it 100% authentic. The practice has obviously paid off for diners who can appreciate authentic Nepalese culture and cuisine. The interior is also very special, and there are a few private spaces that can be rented out in advance for special occasions. The service is always outstanding and friendly here, and the servers and managers all speak English, which is a big bonus for travelers in Tokyo. I highly recommend this gem, which is only a quick 3 min walk from central Ebisu station.

“Nothing special”
Food was just about OK here. The chicken dish was greasy and there was very little meat. The dhal was good, as was the bread. Enjoyed trying Nepalese beer. Pleasant, attentive service - not too overbearing. Dinner for 2 people including beer came to approx $60.
