“World class fine dining providing the best of Lyon in Tokyo”
Nothing less than perfection. The food is absolutely world class and the service from every single member of staff was exemplary. The restaurant promises the same dishes that are on offer in Lyon and it makes good on that commitment. I was particularly impressed with how the restaurant marked our we...dding anniversary. A great evening savouring the finest of French food in lovely surroundings.

“A reasonable bistro experience at a supposed fine dining establishment”
We had the 50th Anniversary (of the opening of Paul Bocuse's restaurant in Lyon) menu for luncheon. What a fantastic start with the pumpkin mousse amuse bouche: it didn't sound anything wonderful but the first bite had us admitting to the 'wow' factor. Perfect texture and flavours in this starting ...course! Next was a cold salmon entree: good quality salmon but the stodgy, tasteless pancake/blini it was on and the overpowering flavour of (what seemed to be tinned) olives and the texture of raw vegetable made this the worst dish of the day. It seemed to be one of those 'something we prepared earlier' dishes stacked up in the refrigerator ready for the next order. The jus with the main of duck and foie gras pie was superb, congratulations to the sauce chef. Whilst the pastry was delicious and rich in flavour it was too thick and stodgy for the amount of minced duck meat with foie gras. Tender pieces of duck would have been preferred to minced meat and something more elaborate than bits of plain steamed/boiled vegetables. Overall a passable bistro dish which had no place in a 'fine dining' establishment. The mango and orange ice dessert with coconut panna cotta was a pleasing dish despite looking like another earlier prepared dish with finger marks all over the rim of the plate which the chef didn't bother wiping off. The coffee and petit fours were reasonably good although a higher standard for Paul Bocuse was expected. Overall a pleasant ambiance, average service, and what I'd class a reasonable bistro meal at fine dining prices. If this experience were served up at Monsier Bocuse's restaurant in Lyon I fear he'd suffer a heart attack!
