“Cheap place to eat something fast”
Is a chain, a great place inside Center Gai to have a fast meal. If you really like gyudon you won't regret it.

“Good for budget”
It’s really nice if you want something quick and not so expensive. For foreigners it’s good because is ordered buy machine and you can change language to English. This is a chain restaurant but the one at Shibuya is really easy to find. If you go on group is not so easy to find seat together special...ly on rush hours. Fast, tasty, casual, convenient. Recommend on lunch time. They give you water but you can ask for tea. With a simple “Ochoa kudasai” when you sit is enough.

“Couldn’t find it”
We followed the instructions and we walked to the spot. No sign we could read or photo of the place. After 15 minutes we gave up. Whether the signage is missing, the map is not working, we don’t know. The whole experience was frustrating

“Cheap hot food for hungry stomach”
Matsuya was really nice because the food was hot and cheap price. Their shops can be easily found anywhere in Japan. Recommended.

“Where locals eat!”
Was looking for authentic japanese breakfast, and went on a hunt on the street. Came across this restaurant called matsuya or 松屋, saw that it has a wide variety of food, locals going in and out, pressumed it must be a local joint. I was right. Went to the machine, select the set with natto beans li...ke a local (this is my first morning in Japan, been looking forward to ordering but not the tasting part of natto), sat down and passed it to the chef. Set came. A raw egg, a packet of natto with sauces, bowl of rice, scallions, and miso soup. Logically (to me), I cracked the egg into my rice, mixed the natto first with the sauces, then dumped it into my rice, add the scallions, add the soya sauce, and then mix it all up like a mad scientist, not knowing if it's correct (you might want to research this first). Tastewise, ok with lots of sauce. Anyway, this joint here has lots of other food like beef bowl (gyudon) etc. And price was very reasonable, 400-500yen if I recalled correctly. Come here. Eat where the locals eat. Other similar restaurants to Matsuya are Sukiya and Yoshinoya.
