I don't have any expectation about food in this restaurant, because my friend said it was cheap restaurant. I tried the roasted pork with rice, salad and egg (similar to ramen egg). The pork really tasty and the staff serve the meal really fast. You can order the meal with vending machine, I think w...hen the transaction already paid they prepare it immediately (that is why they are so fast). I can't help but to visit this restaurant again the next day.

We loved our food at Matsuya so much we ate here twice. I got a premium beef bowl with egg sauce and onions and it was absolutely delicious. Filling and warm on a cold November day. Service was fast and it was convenient ordering at the vending machine up front (which has an option for English speak...ers). My spouse and I both ate for 1000 yen, less than $10! Can't beat that for a quick, affordable, and delicious meal!

This restaurant is just along the road from my hotel and after my selected restaurant turned out to be closed I saw this place, went in, used the machine and enjoyed my ginger pork set meal, with rice, salad and miso soup, all for ¥590. It is not a place to dine if you are out for the experience but... then no fast food place is. It was served with a smile and cup of green tea and I left satisfied having had a tasty well balance meal.

This is one of my favorite fast-food Japanese restaurant. I actually walked in this restaurant not knowing what it was serving since I don't read Japanese and had little to no expectations. They are open 24/7 and conveniently located to a hostel I stayed in during part of my Japan vacation. I kept c...oming back to this particular branch in Asakusa because they have excellent customer service. Although you have to order your meal from a vending machine, they make up for it by preparing your meal in under a minute and you'll be greeted from the moment you step in and when you walk out they acknowledge you when you leave and thank you for coming. They have an English menu option when you place your order on the vending machine. You'll need to ask someone if you choose to order something from one of their special menu. Did I mention how great the food was? The picture attached is one of my favorite and it's on their special menu just ask one of the staff to help you when ordering. It's simply prepared Japanese food nothing fancy but it was delicious and I'd be coming back to this restaurant hopefully very soon. Thank you Matsuya for the wonderful dining experience!!
