I'm sure this review can apply to any Matsuya you find because it's a popular beef bowl chain in Japan. That said, as someone who has tried both this and Yoshinoya, I have to say... I think Matsuya is relatively just okay as far as beef bowls go. The main thing is I think their style of beef i...sn't super flavorful—it's a bit on the plain side. If you're one of those people who doesn't like your beef bowls with too much sweet flavor, you might like this. However, even I thought it was just a little bit too plain. It's still good, still edible, but nothing special. I do like how this location has the typical fast-food ordering on a tablet and even has a fountain for water and tea. But otherwise, I thought Matsuya is pretty okay. I generally prefer Yoshinoya for having a bit more flavor in their meat.
