“Good value beef bowl”
We were very hungry after sightseeing around Shinjuku and shibuya, and we saw this place. Went inside, and notice it was quite empty. Ordering was done via the vending machine, pick English language, and everything was pretty much straight forward. Meal was on the cheap side for japan, and the quali...ty was quite good. Tips: order the half cooked egg!

“Nice beef, fast service, value for money”
Went there two times and did not disappoint us. We were with kids and the kids enjoyed their food too. You can dine on the counter or table in the sides. Nice meal that was quick and yummy.

“Some nice beef for a good price”
Had some strips of beef and some drinks. Was VERY tasty, but hot! I burnt my tongue on the soup that came with it. Great place to get some beef, especially nice since it was just across the road from my hotel.

“Cheap and quick, but hearty and satisfying”
A really nice place to go if you are just looking for a quick cheap meal. For 500yen you can really fill yourself. Every meal comes with a bowl of miso and water is readily available. I did notice that many of the customers were in and out in an extremely short amount of time, but if you're a travel...ler on a budget, I would highly recommend. Ate at Matsuya because it was extremely close to our apartment and saved us a whole bunch on food money. Came here two times in my three day tenure in Shibuya (both for breakfast).
