Hakatatempura Takao CanalCity

We tried this Tendon restaurant in Canal City. We arrive around 11:00 a.m. and they already had a long queue that time. While waiting, we checked what we were going to order, so it will be ready. When it's already our turn, we selected the items at their vending machine and gave the tickets to their... staff. They provided us with a complimentary tea while we were waiting for our orders. The portions are enormous, and the food was so tasty and crispy. It's worth a shot!

Excellent prices! Tempura was freshly cooked and tasted great. Rated 4 because several meal sets we wanted to order were not available.

Hubby and I had this 12 years ago sans kids. It left a really strong and good impression on us. So of cos since we’re back again we HAD to have it. We actually queued for 45 mins after buying our coupons. The staff was really good in accommodating our request to sit us four together. We had EXCE...LLENT prawns and whatever else came with the set. What I really liked was the free appetiser available at each seat. Super yumz! Though the one we had 12 years ago with squid was nicer (today’s was with seaweed). Make sure you have some with the rice!

This might be my first review, however im compelled to write for this place. Tempura Takao, especially the one in canal city Hakata i guess has the best Tempura in this country. I am in this country for 34 years, and i have not tasted a better one. More specifically; The speed, The authentic taste, ...Their Dashi and especially the quality of their rice gives them an an edge over everyone else. They truly are a benchmark ! Don`t miss this place
