“Very smart restaurant”
While staying in Hakata we were taken here by a friend who lives local. Just near the big Kabuki Theatre, take the escalator down a level and it is right there. Go through a big wooden door and you are in a very big and very nice restaurant, the architecture of the place is nice, been well planned. ...We ate in the main dining area at the front and at first thought this place is quiet, maybe no good, it wasn’t until I went to the bathroom that the size of the place became apparent. Lots of private dining rooms of different sizes went of in all directions and most of them were full of couples or bigger groups of diners. So yes it is popular. The service was first class as was the food , a good menu to pick from . Loved the Sashimi and Tempura. Another different but lovely item was the egg roll with Salmon Roe in the centre, Particularly delicious were the baby prawns, fried and beautifully crunchy you just eat the lot, a bowl of them gives you your calcium intake for the day I reckon . All that we ordered was scrumptious, finished off with a lovely plum Saki, a top night and a place we can highly recommend.
