“Traditional Hakata chicken hot pot”
This place serves mizutaki, a local Hakata specialty. We took the recommended Hana course at 4,500 yen per person. Presentation of the appetizers is artful and the main chicken hot pot itself is quite flavorful - in concept it's very similar to the steamboat hot pot we have in Malaysia. The meal end...ed with a creme brulee kind of dessert which was smooth and creamy. Service was attentive and the waitress helps with some of the preparation and cooking. She will also explain about the meal.

“Excellent Mizutaki dinner experience”
This was our first time visiting this restaurant, thanks to our hotel concierge recommendations. Mizutaki is basically a one pot dish of chicken and subsequently diners normally add different types of vegetables and rice or noodles to the soup. The set menu comes with a range of starters and at leas...t 3 different appetisers. The chicken pot is put on a boil in front of diners and meant for communal style of sharing. Once the first round of chicken is ready, it is eaten with a dip called Ponzu sauce. Then additional chicken meat and chicken minced meat rolled into a ball would be added into the soup to be cooked Some would prefer to add chicken livers as well. The soup is further sweetened with vegetables, tofu and Mushrooms. The final stage would be adding either noodles or rice with a raw egg to the soup. The entire dining experience took more than 2 hours and was a good introduction into the origination of Mizutaki from Hakata. We were well informed with the explanation given by the waitress who guided us throughout the introduction of different dishes. There are several private dining rooms in the restaurant and the service was just perfect.
