“great meal”
We stayed at the Sutton Hotel and right across the street was Buaiso. We were there at about 9pm for a late lite dinner after a tiring day of sightseeing & shopping. We decided to order a lot of small dishes & appetizers to share. The squid nankotsu (fried squid) with dipping sauce, yummy potato... takoyaki, spinach salad, two orders of different gyoya, omurice and especially the chicken nanban (my daughter said she could eat a whole plate of this) were all enjoyed by a party of 4 ladies. Our bill came out to a very reasonable amount not more than three thousand something yen $35-$38US without drinks; complimentary green tea and water for our all female group hit the spot although they do have a good bar service. Our waitress let us know that they were closing the kitchen at about I believe 11pm before we started so that we could aware of that and order accordingly. They also had a buzzer at out table that you can conveniently press if you wanted a wait staff for anything, we used this a few times to add on more items to try. I highly recommend Buaiso, it had a nice ambiance, great service (remember to use the call button in Japan) and memorable delicious comfort food

“Food good, but foreigners are treated differently”
The food is a typical chain izakaya, a drinking place where you order many small dishes and share them The food was nice, the staff was friendly. It was annoying though that it is their store policy to treat foreign looking customers different from Japanese ones.
