“Dissapointment”
We arrive on a Sunday afternoon in Nagasaki, since it was not too complicated to find a nice restaurant anywhere else in Japan in our trip so far, we didn't bother too much. However we should have, it turned out that Nagasaki doesn't have as many restaurants as other cities in Japan that we visited... and in addition, not a lot is open on Sunday. After a long search we ended up in this restaurant. We were the only people in the restaurant that evening (during our whole dinner). The communication with our waiter was very complicated, because we don't speak Japanese (although we didn't find this to be a problem anywhere else in the country). After some communication using phones and pointing at stuff we were finally able to order. The starters were ok, but the main course (japanese beef) was really below Japanese (or even European) standards. It was not prepared properly, took a really long time, although there was nobody in the restaurant. She couldn't explain to us why the beef should take so long (to be fair, she did explain to us it would take a little bit longer, but we didn't understand why). Because we thought we couldn't go wrong with Japanese beef, we still ordered it. The pasta of my girlfriend was ok, but no more than that. In addition after our first drink, it was really hard to get another one, because we couldn't find the waiter. Compared to all other experiences we had in Japan, this was really below standard, in terms of service, food quality and atmosphere.
