“Excellent Fugu!”
Very, very good Fugu restaurant. We had the Natural Blowfish course to 25.000 yen per person which contained 7 dishes all with Fugu in one way or another (raw, fried, soup etc.). The Fugu was prepared and served different ways and everything was delicious! The staff was extremely helpfull and sweet... but had limited english skills, in the end we did understand everything they said. The food was high quality and the sake was very good as well even though sake is not my favorite drink. They also offers other kinds of drinks, but they recommended sake. The chef visited our table several times to make sure that everything was okay and we had a servant near by during the entire time, discreet of course. To conclude: We had a lovely evening at Izumi. we had mineral water, tea, three times sake, 2 times natural blowfish course and paid 59.000 yen. I strongly recommend this place if you want to try Fugu.

“For the Thrill”
Wife and I decided to try this place out as this could be the only time in my life eating a blowfish. So I decided, if god decides to take me, best take me in a nice restaurant! Kidding. I finally understand the thrill when eating this delicacy as it was presented in the form of sashimi as our fir...st dish. Then came the fried and soup version. End of with a porridge and dessert. It's actually a very healthy meal in my opinion. Indeed it's expensive but you are paying for the skill that the master chef has honed over the last few decades. He came out and greet us and explained to us how to consume it. Public transport is not very convenient to come to this restaurant and thus for us is cab in and cab out. Once in a life time experience.
