This is a fabulous restaurant, for both food and service. The chef was delightful and charming. He put on such a wonderful performance and was so charismatic. The steak was also amazing. I was very impressed with the quality of the steak and the skill and service of the chef and the waitress. If yo...u want a good experience, this is the place to go to.

My group and I were very excited to have lunch at a steakhouse with Saga beef in Karatsu. We arrived at Caravan at 12:15 pm. The restaurant was already full so we waited. Over the span of the next 90 minutes, the restaurant proceeded to sit every other party that came in - one set had a reservati...on (a group of 6) while the others did not. When we indicated that we were amenable to splitting up - there were 6 of us - the chef still sat a group of 2 walk-ins at the counter leaving only an open table of 4 which was contrary to the recommendations of the female servers who wanted to seat us as a 2 and a 4. Moral of the story - we were a group of American women of all ages and races but not Asian so I guess our business was unwanted. We have been in Japan for over a week and this behavior was shocking compared to the gracious reception we have received in multiple other cities. Do not waste your time.

Great experience for any Yuri on Ice fan and foodie. Got 3 lunch sets to share with friends; hamburger steak and 2 types of Saga beef. I don't remember which beef parts because my Japanese is terrible. Lunch set comes with salad, soup, grilled veggies, and your meaty entree. The soup was surprisingl...y good. It tasted like sweet onions and carrots. I wish I had more soup. I also wish I had more beef, but that's expensive. Obviously the beef was very good. Tender, juicy, melts in your mouth, perfectly marbled, etc. The hamburger steak is a popular, but cheaper (~$17) option with Japanese locals (?). It's definitely a high value for your price option. Super juicy. Chef gave all the yoi fans a free cup of Karatsu sake. I think we also got a free toothpick of meat at the end. He also gave us a gift bag of 3 Yurio bottled drinks. TBH Yurio's drink is the best because it's the least sweet. It's a bit hard to tell what's going on when neither party speaks each other's language well. We managed. Chef has a room full of yoi merchandise. He calls it his Yuri room. It's great. You can sign/draw in the guestbook after your meal. Also, the bathrooms are fancy Toto toilets that open on their own. Expect your meal to last at least 2 hours, especially if you're going to fan girl. You can make a reservation through Gurunavi.

The beef was tasty however not a welcoming environment. The chef was only interested in talking about and selling amine to another couple who were interested. It was like no one else existed. We love dining out in japan and had many great experiences however this definitely was not one of them. E...xtremely expensive and we would not recommend.

Absolutely wonderfull beef. Tender full of flavour. The kind of beef that melts in your mouth. Accompanied by a good bottle of Italian redwine. Can it be any better?
