“Izakaya where you can enjoy Ishigaki cuisine with a variety of looks, textures, and tastes”
Even though it's located somewhat far from downtown Ishigaki, there is a relatively large hotel to the west of the restaurant, and the fact that the surrounding area is a residential area, it's a popular izakaya that is crowded every day. While there may be no problem using the izakaya without a reservation for a small group, it's strongly recommended to make a reservation in advance for large groups such as families or friends. Drinks and other beverages are almost the same as those served in typical izakayas outside of Okinawa, but the menu offers a wide variety of dishes unique to Okinawa, including meat, seafood, and vegetable dishes with a variety of flavors. The dishes are all unusual, especially for visitors from outside Okinawa, and each dish is presented in rather small portions, so you may end up ordering a lot (and of course, each dish is reasonably priced). As this is a popular restaurant, the staff are all very busy. Depending on where you are seated, it may be difficult to be noticed by the staff, but even so, they will always come to your table if you call for them, and the speed at which they serve food is not bad at all. This is one of the izakaya we recommend when you are in doubt about where to eat in the evening. However, there is a step at the entrance, and the step is also high, so people with disabilities such as wheelchairs may find it difficult to use the restaurant.

“Good local food and awesome Ryukyu decor”
Could be considered an Izakaya but with no smoking allowed inside. The menu is fairly extensive with lots of local cuisine. We tried many dishes and they were all good. Especially the Ishigaki beef sushi and beef salad were really nice. The fried purple sweet potatoes were given to us as a gift from... the chef who is an amazing man. We were the last ones there for the evening and he took time away from closing to come over and thank us for coming in. It was an awesome experience with some of the best Ryukyu decor that I have ever seen in a place in the island chain. My wife and I highly recommend this place and will definitely go back the next time we are in Ishigaki.

“My favorite in Ishigaki ”
The restaurant is about 20 minutes walk from the downtown. If you come with a car, the travel time is reduced to 3 minutes. They have a free parking lot for guests. My husband and I dined here twice and each time we wish we could stuff us with more food (too bad, we are not big eaters). The food h...ere is home-cooking style and vegetarian-friendly, though they also have a big variety of meat options. For me, the best dish was stir fried carrots with eggs. I know this might not sound like a big deal but it was so delicious. Nabaranbushi (a stew of young loofah and tofu) was also very good. We also tried Adan Sprouts champuru (stir fry Adan tree sprouts). It was tender and special. Popo-yaki (salty pancake roll) went well, too. The price is quite reasonable. Good service and traditional Japanese setting. Highly recommended!

“Not bad but not great.”
We went here one night in Ishigaki. It is your typical Izakaya. We had the Ishigaki beef, the cheese rolls, and a pork cutlet rice bowl. The staff was friendly and spoke decent English. It's a fun place to grab a drink and hang out.
