“First Meal in Fukuoka”
Ichiran was our first meal after arriving in Fukuoka as we were craving a quick bowl of ramen. The line was a little long and snaked a couple times but overall wait was shorter than expected. Inside we sat in the typical cubby and handed over our paper that detailed our preferences for our tonkat...su ramen. Food was delivered shortly and it was very consistent with taste like any other Ichiran location in Japan. However, I do prefer a thicker noodle nowadays but it hit the spot and we could continue with our Fukuoka wanderings on a full stomach.

“Best Pork Ramen in Japan. ”
We had several pork ramen dishes during this three-week trip. One in Kyoto, and two in pork ramen “country”, Hakata in Kyushu, of which Ichiran at Sun Plaza was one. Ichiran was hands down the best of the three. A league ahead. It is incredible that the chain has held its standard to when we first t...asted it back in 2017 in Osaka!

“Ichiran Ramen”
Ichiran Ramen is one of the most famous ramen shops in Japan, renowned for its unique restaurant design. Even though the prices may be a bit higher than other ramen shops, the taste makes it worth the money! In Hakata, the lines are much shorter compared to the Tokyo branches, so it is definitely wo...rth a try!

“Good food, tight space”
I came here for lunch at the recommendation of my Japanese wife. I was solo backpacking around Japan and had time to kill while waiting for my shinkansen. You will need to buy a ticket for your meal before you sit down. The food itself was excellent and I even drank all the broth. No complaints abou...t the service either. Polite staff leading me to my seat/booth and you don't have to see the server as they deliver your meal through a roll up curtain at the front of the booth. The booth and the walkway behind the seats are both quite narrow however. Some people may have a hard time getting through or making themselves comfortable. If you have a backpack or other small luggage with you, you will have to keep it in front of you between your legs or in the lockers at the front of the shop. I don't know if there is another section to the shop but the part I was in probably isn't easily accessible to people with in wheelchairs.
