“Poor service and average food ”
Was looking for a dinner place after tour and saw its advert near the bus station. This place seeks a mix of grilled sticks, sashimi, local foods and the famous ishigaki beef. Restaurant is busy with locals and they don’t seem keen to cater to tourists. There was no English menu but I could still... get by with the photos. Food was pretty average. One particular dish which was Octopus chanpuru was 4th on their most popular dishes. However the octopus was hard and not fresh. The sauce has no other taste except being salty. The pork Katsu in egg sauce and squid ink fried rich are passable. The service staff are absolutely poor. While they are busy but they were chatting away during pockets of free time and they don’t bother to check if the water or tea needs refilling. One of the beef item I ordered was sold out and they did not even bother to tell me while I was waiting ages like an idiot for the dish to arrive. Totally soured my eating experience and lost my chance to try ishigaki beef. Avoid!!!
