Kaisambutsuryori Taiammaru Kumoji

Reservation: We visited the Restuarant in June with my family. We called to make a reservation but they didn't speak English. Be prepared for the key words "reserve" "tonight" "7pm" "Gor Jin aka 5 persons" and your name, say Mike San, use very short name. We managed to make a reservation as it is v...ery popular with the locals. While we were sitting, two teams of non Japanese speakers walked in and were turned away. Hence, reservation is a must. Food: We went there for its fresh sashimi and great sushi. These lived up to expectation. We were disappointed as they ran out of crabs which were shown on the website. We ordered a 4-person sashimi, one 9-piece sushi, plus a sea urchin, 3 plates of beef, 3 grilled prawns, a plate of mushroom, a 4-piece fried chicken, a 7-piece prawn tempura, a grilled fish, a 4- piece fried chicken, 2 bottles of sake, a bottle of asashi, three bottles of Capis , It costs jpy 16,000 Jpy equivalents to Singapore 200, it is inexpensive. It is really value for money, despite the grilled prawn were not totally fresh. Ambience It is a smoking Restuarant, like most jap restaurant. However, it is compensated by its unique and very local layout. It has the feel of eating like a okinawan. It is fairly easy to find using a Google map, take the first right turn after ing crossing the bridge and the Restuarant is at the end of the street.
