Captain's Inn Mihama

Oh my goodness - this restaurant was a pleasant surprise. The staff is accommodating and the food is flavorful. I love the local flair added to the meal too. My steak was cooked perfectly and the seafood was so fresh. The chef spoke a little English, which was helpful. He took the time to explain ...when we had questions.

The best bang for your buck here! I get the steak and jumbo prawn course. The staff is always great. I've been going here since 2010. Four seasons is overrated. Trust me you'll love this place.

At this teppanyaki grill joint, you order up your menu and have it cooked for you at your table. There is an english menu available and they offer shrimp, various types of steak, pork or lobster as the main, starting at about $25. You can pay about $90 for the wagyu beef dinner. They do have a co...cktail menu to get started, then you go into about an hours-worth of cooking and prepping at the table. They serve a salad, sauces, rice, and stir fried veggies. The Orion beer on draft is tasty and we walked away paying about $40 per meal. I think it depends on what chef you get as to what level of showmanship you will see while they make the meal and they do seem to seat you in groups, so there might be a short wait for a table. This was our last meal in Okinawa and we were glad to have the experience.

This is a main chain of restaurants - the Captains Inn specializes in preparing the food (seafood and beef) in front of you on huge oven plates. Quite entertaining and decent food . The concept is called Teppanyaki. I tried the tenderloin beef, and it was good quality. The set meal option includes s...alad, soup, vegetables, tofu and main dish of beef with sauce and rice. See the menu option clearly displayed outside the restaurants. Prices vary depending on size of meat; 180 gr will cost approx 2600 Yen. -range Add lobster to the meal and you easily pass the 4000 Yen mark. Service is fast and speedy. If you are looking for some cheaper option of eateries, look for ones having teishoku, a low priced set meal where where the main dish ordered comes with vegetables, rice soup and possibly pickles.

Tasty Asian Dining. Happy hours beers and occasional "All-you-can-eat & drink" specials. Unfortunately, a bit small-ish, so smoking 'area' can fog the place.
