Captain's Inn Kokusaidori

We wanted to try Teppanyaki in Japan, thinking that it’ll be good Captain’s Inn disappointed us First, the cook looked very inexperienced and uninterested. No display of cooking skills that you’ll expect at Teppanyaki, and we had to request for it. Poor skills, his pepper and salt shaker kept drop...ping. The food was also not delicious, just mildly cooked. The beef wasn’t good at all. We were the only group in the restaurant at that time. I won’t recommend this place at all.

Warm welcome and hospitality from the chef. He also cook the steak and give you some little show of throwing the pepper from the left hand to right hand or whatever. Steak is fair. Not special like the Kobe beef. The Prawn is big as well as the lobster which more special than the steak.

Food is bad, service is lousy and we have to squeeze in the corner of a big table while the restaurant is only half empty. They serve rice on a plate like those in the refugee camp. Beware of the menu, they are misleading although there are English and Chinese versions. 又貴又唔好食，服務態度非常差，菜牌有中英文版，但非常誤導,... 小心！

Really good steak and mussels, all the dishes looked and tasted great actually, but what really separates this place from other steakhouses, is that the chef cooks the meat on your table right in front of you and puts on a show by juggling salt and pepper - very impressive!! It’s a bit pricey, but ...well worth the money. Food and experience will satisfy you and leave good memories!
