“Our Thanksgiving Lunch”
We were traveling in Japan - Tokyo - in Nov, 2022. On Thanksgiving Day, we went with friends to this place to have Unagi. It is one of the most well-known unagi place in Tokyo. It did not disappoint us. Very good and fresh ingredients Good service Price is on the high end - but unagi is usually ...more expensive anyways. If you are a unagi fan, you should give this place a try ! Not only good food, you will also have a good view of Ueno park.

“Great huge traditional restaurant selling Unagi”
Great tasty Unagi restaurant recommended to me by my Japanese colleague. Their dining area is super huge, comprising of many levels, but there is still a long queue (so you may consider to make a reservation in advance). Environment of the place is traditional and service crew were mainly elderly la...dies dressed in Kimono. Was a little pricey for small portion of unagi, but food was quite delicious.

“One of the oldest unagi restaurant with 300 years history”
This is one of the oldest unagi restaurant in Tokyo. There are few branches of the restaurant but this is near Ueno JR station. I ordered Unaju 130 g medium a size . It was delicious although there were many bones.

“One of the oldest”
This is another Unagi restaurant in Tokyo with history. They served other food with eel but most customers we saw ordered the eel on rice. We had the Take (medium) unagi box and the taste was good. However, it was not as spectacular as what we had at Nodaiwa. Food came too quickly so the eel was def...initely not grilled after order. We also had a feeling that they cater more to tourists as the location is right next to the Ueno park. Decor of the restaurant was very nostalgic and atmosphere was good. Service from the elderly ladies in Kimono was outstanding even though they did not speak much English.

“Excellent Unagi”
One of the oldest and best unagi restaurants in Tokyo. They serve Edome, traditional Tokyo style unagi which is grilled first and steamed after to get rid of excess fat resulting fluffy delicious unagi. The source is also Edomae and not so sweet. Just note that unagi is a pricy meal.
