This is a "Hidden Gem" located in the humongous Tokyo Station underground "city." It is located in a much quieter part of the Station called Yaechika. Directly opposite is the Family mart convenience store. But looking for most restaurants/shops inside Tokyo station is always a constant challenge du...e to its sheer size. We always had to use Google Maps to find places & even the train terminals in the station. This restaurant serves good homely Japanese food at reasonable low prices. Portions are "reasonably big" even for the "low" prices - choice of rice in 3 sizes (S,M or L) at no extra charge. And the food is good. Service is pretty fast except for some orders that needs frying. They have different set menus for Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner. Place is constantly crowded ( we had breakfast & lunch on different days). Bulk of the customers are locals probably due to the quiet isolated location, which only locals know of. Opens very early at 7am, whereas most restaurants are still closed. Definitely a Hidden Gem worth it's salt!

Were staying nearby and chose an early dinner as was a public holiday (Equinox Day) and places were closing-up around 6pm. This "gem" was still open and thriving. We got a table easy, beer orders and an English (2 sided) menu. Some quite interesting food styles/choices (horse-meat, sushi "octopus g...uts" n' Korean-type seafood pancake), but our 1st try was the "20 Items Salad', and was fantastic (see photo). Some other conservative dishes like grilled chicken and fried rice (all excellent and tasty). Great staff, fast service and quite cheap prices too.

Affordable stomach filled satisfying authentic Japanese comfort food. Eggs for breakfast are to die for!!! I eat here 5 times during my 11 days in Tokyo. Order came right out once I cleaned my hands with warm wet towel provided. I love this place!

Located at the basement of the Yaesu Mall in Tokyo Station, this is one of the places in the area that serves traditional Japanese breakfast at 7am. Ordering is done via a vending machine with small pictures and Japanese characters, but staff was happy to help. The food (pork miso soup with rice and... tea, JPY570) was served as soon as we got seated, so its literally as cheap and as fast as walking into a McDonalds. Located in front of Family Mart (where you can get coffee). Recommended if you are a Tourist happening to be in this area.

Located at the underground shopping street of JR Tokyo Station Yaesu exit, this place serves breakfast from 7am, lunch from 11am, dinner from 2:30pm. So convenient to grab some drinks and traditional Japanese dishes after/before the train ride.
