“Good Food, Lively Atmosphere”
We found this place after we visited the Harukas 300 observation deck and it was a bit crowded, since it was around lunch time. We ended up on a nice table close to the action and my youngest son and I ordered the 10 piece set. Since I cannot eat some shellfish, I waited until my son bit into his ...food before I started to eat any of my food. I think I ate everything except the asparagus. The food was quite tasty and I I did not double dip the sauce because I did not want to get beat up by the locals. The cost of the food came out to about $87 for the four of us, which is reasonable for the quality of the food. I would certainly eat here again, although deep fried food is not good for my system.

“a must visit kushikatsu esp. when at the MARRIOTT MIYAKO or anytime in ABENO TOWER (opposite the JR train station)”
This restaurant is so discreetly hidden on the 12th floor of the ABENO TOWER restaurant floors (12-14F) that we did not realize it was there until our third visit to the MARRIOTT MIYAKO. We popped in for a late lunch and tried the set fried skewer menu. Everything was delicious and beautifully pres...ented. The service was excellent, the chefs behind the counter were very accommodating and explained the style of cuisine to us as we hadn't had Kushikatsu before. From the world wide web: Kushikatsu also know as tiny deep-fried nuggets of food on skewers. Kushikatsu recipes use various meats, seafood and vegetables. Kushikatsu is served with delicious matching sauces, such as tartar sauce, miso sauce, and sweet-and-sour sauce, as well as original sauces. Kushikatsu is served one by one. As you finish each skewer, another of a different kind is served (unless you ask for the same item again)! It was great fun and YUMMY! Highly recommended, not to be missed.
