“The Best Sukiyaki in Japan, Imahan Ikebukuro Branch”
In the year end of 2016, I had lunch here with my family. You need to absolutely make a reservation by phone call, because all the other branches in Tokyo were fully booked. Only in Ikebukuro branch located in Tobu department store could I succeed in reserving, because it's rather far away from To...kyo center. The woman in Kimono serves you from start to end. The meat is grilled on the cast-iron plate, followed by vegetables and egg topped rice. It is Japanse tradition to dip your piece of meat into the whipped raw egg bowl before eating. The chopsticks should be used. It was surprising that the Kimono girl served me with the medium rare piece of beef, because I had though the Sukiyaki would be served in well-done way. I have ordered Sake Dokuri, which is a small porcelain bottle of warm rice-wine, which well matches with the Japanese food. So I strongly recommend it. They gave me a warm wet towel before eating, and after eating to sanitize my hands, which is a very good sign of service. The lunch is 4680 yen, about $50. If you want to taste the Japanese high quality traditional food, pay a visit.
