“Sukiyaki”
Wanted to try sukiyaki at a new place, not Imahan or Zakuro which are excellent restaurants. My friend suggested Kisoji. Went about 6:00 and was seated immediately. Prices are reasonable and taste was excellent. Didn’t want the super marbled beef (practically white) which is common in Japan and ever...yone assumes to be the best beef. We chose the least marbled (was marbled enough). They initially start the cooking for you and tell you how to proceed by yourself so you can cook and eat at your leisure. You can flavor the sukiyaki with their combination sukiyaki sauce and konbu broth to your liking. Meat and vegetables were what you would expect for this caliber restaurant. Since you’re in Japan you expect spectacular service however the service was a little lacking (in Japanese standards) but adequate. Worth a try.
