The food is good but it is very expensive for what it offers. Much more beautiful than tasty food. The portions are small. But the most disappointing thing is that the waitress didn't make it clear that the kitchen was closing and that after 9 pm we could no longer order dessert and a coffee. Since ...we do not speak the language they should at least make sure that we dont need anything else. Being located in one of the best hotels in Tokyo the quality of service should be equal or better.

Great quality food, fast efficient service. Waiters do not speak very good english but are kind, and eager to help.

We had lunch with a friend at San Applause. Service was excellent! We opted for one of the New Year set lunches - apart from starter, sashimi, soup and rice, there were 4 choices for mains including beef, chicken and fish (the salmon was delicious!). There was also a choice of 5 desserts (loved the ...green tea ice cream parfait). In addition, we had grilled chicken and beef, which were excellent.

..in traditional Japanese style is presented in a large number of small courses, one after the other, contrasting strong flavours and firm textures with milder ones, often slightly bland for European taste, but all with seasonal ingredients and beautifully presented, both the food and the dishes the...mselves. Here the service is smooth and efficient and though our larger party of five were in a private room, we were well looked after and never neglected. The lighting was a little bright but the ambience was charming and the staff very willing and friendly.

Expensive but real Japanese food... They have closed rooms for business parties as well.. They have also fresh seafood bar..
