“Yummy unagi”
Delicious Box of fresh water eel (unagi) on rice. Lovely little restaurant on busy street in Ginza neighborhood. No reservations. Recommended by our guide.

“Overhyped”
Convenient location across from Mitsukoshi Ginza but ladies were a tad unfriendly when serving foreigners. Had the unagi donburi and didnt realise hot tea was free until I’d ordered a drink. Unagi was tasty but definitely not the best unagi donburi I’ve had. Would try this place once for the experie...nce. Bit pricey.

“Best unagi in Tokyo!”
This old-fashioned restaurant is the best unagi dining I have found in Tokyo, after many visits. On this trip we also utilized a private room in their original location to entertain guests. The food was superb and the service super, all had a wonderful time! I recommend Chikuyotei Honten wholehearte...dly for all lovers of unagi!

“Great unagi but a little pricey”
We went almost at the end of lunch service and I think initially their staff was not too keen on letting us in (even though we had a good 50 mins before they closed). Nonetheless, they served us and the food was good. The unagi was delicious but a little on the high price point. My tip would be to g...et there earlier so you can enjoy the meal rather than having to eat it quickly.

“unagi at its best in ginza”
perfectly prepared unagi, eel right in the heart of ginza. located nearby nissan galley. a bit pricey but its worth it.
