“Excellent soup dumpling”
I stopped by before 4 pm on a Saturday. There were quite a few people waiting around. I waited 20 minutes to be shown to a table. Got my usual soup dumplings and fried rice set. Both dishes were solid. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The cost was around 2000 yen. This is my second time at... this location and would love to return.

“Great lunch in Shinjuku”
Great meal with high quality ingredients and great service. Very quick dim sum ordering and the free green tea and water was an added bonus. Have just found out that they have one in London so well now be heading there when we get home! 😀

“Not Din T'ai Fun”
After 4 years in Beijing we tasted the shibuya branch. Disappointed is the key Word. Xiao long pao were warm at best, Chiken broth tasted sour. Noodles stuck together?!. All in all, this was a huge step down from what Din Tai Fun is what we used to enjoy. Add, a very pricy tab. Best avoid this ...one

“Disappointing for the second time in a row”
We love chinese food, and especially Xiao Long Bao Dumplings. These dumplings at DTF are delicious, so what is the problem? The problem is everything else: first, the waiters seem always pretty confused. They go around in the restaurant, and it always seem they are not sure about what they are d...oing and who they are serving. The fact that every waiter serves every table does not help. I don't think it's their fault, it seems to me more an organisational matter.. second, you have the constant feeling that you must eat and go asap. We ordered several dishes, and they brought literally anything at the same time. So we had to choose between eating the dumplings and having the noodles becoming overdone and cold, or eating those first, and having the dumplings cold. We felt like foie-gras geese, and left sickened. third, with some dishes you felt literally robbed. While the dumplings are delicious noodles and rice are close to be scammy. I had fried rice with crab, but the correct name of the dish should be "fried rice with eggs and some sporadic crab filaments" the same for the noodles: tasteless and overpriced. I like this chain, (the one in Beijing was wonderful) but this one needs to improve a lot.

“No no no”
Probably the worst Din Tai Fung I have ever tried in Asia. The dumpling baskets arrived totally randomly, sometimes with 30 minutes between each. Dumplings were almost tasteless...
