“Avoid if you’re a foreigner; if you’re Japanese still ok”
A friend of mine booked this restaurant in advance, for 16 people. He mentioned he has had a very good experience previously, with his Japanese counterparts. This is a pricier yakiniku, and I feel it is worth it for the quality, with a caveat. If you are Japanese, it’s a good place for a nice date ...or a business meeting. If you are a foreigner, stay away. Apparently there’s a Japanese menu and foreigner menu. The prices are largely the same, but the courses are probably half of what you get. Since my friend has had the courses before, he thought it was odd that there were a number of “missing” courses - when confronted, the manager alleged that the online reservation menu is different from phone reservation menu - even when the prices are the same. Eventually only after calling our Japanese counterparts were we given the missing courses which we paid for. They even asked us to self-serve as they were short staffed, despite it being a restaurant where they grill and serve the meat in a variety of ways, and despite us booking way in advance. Looking at the listing on google, it seems that this issue has been ongoing for a while. Despite the management replies stating that they will look into it, it doesn’t seem like anything is being done. Furthermore, we were celebrating a friend’s 40th birthday and bought a cake for him. The same manager insisted on a charge of ¥20,000 for it. Despite us ordering 10 bottles of sake and racking up a ¥400,000 bill at the end of the night. It is quite unthinkable for this to have happened in Japan. Alas, a few crooks ruined the good image of Japan we had in all our minds. The irony of it all? We were served by foreigners. Maybe Japan has one upped itself here.

“Yakikiku”
I have been curious about Korean barbecue for a while now and decided to try the Japanese version. Basically you get several cuts of beef that you cook in a charcoal grill in the center of your table. I didn’t care for the experience.

“Hidden Gem Amid V. Expensive Places”
Didn’t see any tourists in this restaurant. Just locals. I think it’s because being on the 7th floor there was no passing trade. The food was outstanding and the staff, though their English was scant, were off-the-scale for making us welcome. We pushed the boat out with a wagyu main course but it ...was well worth it - probably the best beef I’ve ever tasted. Very instagrammable presentation as well. In short - if you’re within a 20km radius, come here.

“Must come if you like grilled tender oh-so-melt in your mouth beef! ”
This is the second time I came to restaurant for dinner and they were better than I remembered it. Order from the set menu - the 6800 one. It was well worth the money. It came with pickled veggies, 8-9 kind of beef slices, including tongue, ribs, thigh and tenderloin. They were all so tender and f...lavorful. The set also comes with either cold ramen or bimbimbap. Remember in Japan, they serve rice or noodle dish at the end of the meal so they will serve your rice after all the meat has been served. I asked for my plain rice to be served ahead of time so I could it eat it with my meat. The set menu also comes with dessert- fruits, almond pudding & bite size tiramisu. Customer service - excellent. The staffs were super friendly and helpful. They do help you cook the meat but they can be slow between meat so you have to be patient. Not a good place if you want something quick.

“Fantastic Yakiniku, and Reasonable in Ginza!”
I went here with colleagues from work for Yakiniku (you get plates of raw meat and cook it on a grill at your table). Our table was in a small private room, and there was a service button that seemingly called for instantaneous service. Push - "hai!" that fast... I thought the food was fantastic... and the prices were surprisingly reasonable. The quality of the beef was very very good. There were some small dishes that came early that were really tasty (especially the beef tongue - not usually a huge fan, but that might have been the best bite of the night - no pun intended), an amazing piece of what looked to be Kobe-beef, and the standard plates of sirloin and ribeye that you order. As very satisfying meal!
