“Worst customer experience ever in Tokyo”
I have eaten at this restaurant on a number of occasions, but this visit will be my last. I had my Hotel make a reservation for 8pm. It became obvious that, as we were the only Clients left in the restaurant by 8.45pm, the staff could not wait to get rid of us. I have spent 4 years working in Tokyo ...and have never experienced such poor delivery (order and timing) and unfriendliness of service; whilst still half-way thru eating our main Soba and Nabe meals, I was asked to pay the Bill !!! I politely declined until I was finished, only to be requested again shortly thereafter, this time by the Chef. I am well accustomed to Japanese culture, this was not, this was pure rudeness, bordering on harassment, and nothing I have ever experienced before. Unfortunately, this was my son and girlfriends first experience of Tokyo. This is a mainstream restaurant, located at the bottom of the Prudential building, which is expensive for soba/nabe. Will not be back. Tokyo has literally hundreds of better restaurants.

“Nice little place”
Charming little local restaurant. Despite being in a modern building, it has an unusual charm. We came here as part of a tour. Despite the size of the group, we were served like clockwork and with particular charm and grace. We were served quite a few dishes including boccancini, basil and tomat...o (hang on, that's Italian), Fish cake, Salad, Carpaccio of sea bream, Chicken skewers - bit dry, Chicken skewers thigh - very good, Third chicken skewer, excellent, Grilled small peppers, Chicken skewer again with leek, grilled v good, creamy smoky Minced chicken balls, Grilled tomato on skewers, Noodles and finishing with Almond curd for dessert. Very nice it all was too. As I mentioned, the excellent staff too good care of us. They like their him our here. When serving one of the chicken skewers the waitress held up and slapped her thigh by way of confirming the source of the meat. A very nice evening. Bravo.

“casual atmosphere, very friendly staff and good soba”
An easy and friendly place for a good soba and drinks with friends. Just a short walk from Akasaka-Mitsuke metro station, Soba & Bar An serves soba dishes, yakitori, but also some Italian inspired starters like Bagna Cauda or Parma ham. The staff is young and very friendly with a good command of Eng...lish. There is also a great selection of wines, sake and sochu. The atmosphere is casual and upbeat - a cross between an izakaya and a restaurant. They also make great desserts - try the roasted tea ice cream. Simply delicious.
