“Order the karubi and sliced wagyu steak”
I've been to a few in the Jojoen chain and I must say, they are nothing like your average chain. I dropped in with my son for lunch on a weekday before heading to the airport. We wanted one last meal of wonderful Japanese food and the Jojoen at Tokyo Dome City did not disappoint. The first thing to ...watch out for is the lunch "specials". The idea is to give you a little bit of meat but a lot of surrounding stuff - salad, soup, dessert - to make you feel full. My son and I decided to order a la carte and chose, not much, just 120 gm of the karubi and a like amount of sliced steak. We topped that up with two salads - a seaweed salad and a kimchi salad. The food comes quickly and with no fuss. Nobody speaks English but it doesn't matter - pointing and going "hai" works well. You have a collection of sauces, all of which taste wonderful but they are totally unnecessary. The marinades are more than sufficient for a light if definite flavor. The meat is succulent and truly melt in your mouth. Such is the quality of the meat that any more than 20 seconds on each side would be a criminal waste. 15 seconds may be more than sufficient. I must say we left Japan with a very happy taste in our mouths!

“Not only perfect, you don't have to sit on the floor!”
What can I say? Perfect. Better than Korean barbecue in Korea, that's what everyone says, anyway. Heavenly meat (try the steak tartar), tender as cream, absolutely gorgeous. Even the complimentary desert is to die for. Be prepared to sit on proper chairs and pay a lot.

“High Class Yakiniku Restaurant ”
This is one if the better Yakiniku restaurants in Tokyo. The meat is fantastic, the service is phenomenal and the view is outstanding if you manage to seat next to the window. Price wise it's a decent price - not too expensive for Tokyo standard. Private rooms are also available. After a long bus...iness day, certainly a great place to have a good dinner and good talks.

“Best Yakinuku ever!”
We love the beef here! If you are a beef lover and dont mind just eating meats only, we just ordered from the English menu ala carte...didnt want the frills and the appetisers which are usually filled w vinegar and spices. Well-seasoned meats which was just right to the palate and free ice-cream wa...s a surprise for the kids! Believe it can get crowded at dinner. We had a leisurely lunch on a weekday.
