“Outstanding food, Excellent service, Gorgeous night view”
In late Dec 2025 we two dined at Ginza Kashiwa during our annual Japan visit; this was our 3rd time in four years. Consistently outstanding. Unlike our earlier experiences, the course menu was not only in Japanese, but also in English. We had the same wonderful seats as during our previous visits, a...nd the staff were again a pleasure to converse with. We had the 極コース (Extreme course) with wine pairing. FOOD: 5.0. The restaurant specializes in chicken yakitori. We had had standard chicken yakitori a couple of days earlier so were able to compare; although the standard had been very good, Ginza Kashiwa was outstanding: more tender with subtler seasonings and perfectly cooked. The small courses were served one after another, paired with a wine that went with 2 to 3 of the courses. Beautiful presentation and wonderful paired tastings. Too much to list; photos of the menu (in Japanese) and courses are posted. WINE: 4.0. The wines were from France, New Zealand, US (California), Romania, and South Africa. (In the future I hope to see one of the emerging good Japanese wines included.) SERVICE: 5.0. Service was excellent throughout the dinner, and the staff collaborated well. AMBIANCE: 5.0. Located on the 11th floor overlooking a large boulevard in Ginza. TIP: reserve the "Private Room" for the two secluded counter seats located at the far end of the room; we dined at these seats for all three of our visits. The seats' location is quite private and romantic, as it is screened from the both the chef and the rest of the restaurant. Directly behind the seats are floor-to-ceiling windows with a nice night view of Ginza. DEC 2023 review: Had dinner at Ginza Kashiwa during our annual Japan visit, in Dec 2023. Twelve months ago we visited for the first time and had an outstanding experience. My review posted Dec 2022 is below and the ratings given remain valid. This year the experience was at least equally good; the wines actually seemed better. We had the same wonderful seats as last year. The staff were a pleasure to converse with. DEC 2022 review: We 2 treated ourselves to the 選べるペアリングコース, which was 6 wines paired with about 13 small courses finished by coffee/tea. Outstanding experience. SERVICE: 5.0. We were lucky to snag an early evening reservation with 2 hours notice. Service was excellent throughout the dinner. AMBIANCE: 5.0. Located on the 11th floor overlooking a large boulevard in Ginza. It was already quite crowded when we arrived for out 6pm reservation, and we were shown to the 2 best seats for a couple to share a romantic evening. These 2 seats are located at the most inner part of the restaurant, at a wide counter facing the chef's cooking area. The location is quite private, as it is screened from the both the chef and the rest of the restaurant. Directly behind the seats are floor-to-ceiling windows with a nice city view. FOOD: 5.0. The small courses were served one after another, paired with a wine that went with 2 to 3 of the courses. Beautiful presentation and wonderful paired tastings. Too much to list; photos of the menu (in Japanese) and courses are posted. WINE: 4.0. The pours were generous, and each wine was paired very well with appropriate courses. The sommelier did most of our pours, explaining the wines and pairings.

“Great yakitori experience!!!”
My business partner took me to this place for yakitori dinner. The interior was stylish and didn't look like a typical yakitori restaurant, and it was actually relaxing for me. We had "TAKE-meaning Banboo" Course. All the yakitori were served hot and the staffs explained each of them carefully. C...hicken used in this restaurant is "HINAI-branded chicken" which they explained one of the most famous chicken brand in Japan. We had a great moment with tasty yakitori and good selections of wines. I hope I can come back here with my wife next time. English menu, English speaking staffs.

“The Best Yakitori in Tokyo”
I was invited by friends to ear Yakitori in Ginza. My first impression was such common food. The I realized that this 24 course yakitori meal in all about the Hanai chiken. The meal had course like Confi and Terrine of Hinae chiken, chicken achilles tendon, chicken breast strip with wasabi, chicken n... leek skewer, chicken meatballs skewer with Hanai chicken egg yolk, Hanai chicken omelette, Steamed egg custard with hokkaido sea urchin, chicken liver skewer, Golden liver skewer, chicken wing skewer to na e a few. At the end of the day, it was a fantastic experienceto eat such acommon food in such a luxurious way. In addition to this the wine and beer will also go along way in this said experience. Theplace and service was absolutely perfect. Price although slighly on the side was all worth it.
