“Friendly, down-to-earth dining experience!”

My wife used to frequent Dondenn years ago when she lived in Shinjuku. The two of us got together with one of her friends who still lives in the neighborhood. We had a great night. The place was full which generated a lively atmosphere and the food was delicious - we had monja and okonomiaki. Nothin...g fancy...but a genuine Japanese local dining experience. No English menu here, but the staff are friendly and accommodating.
