“Very old restaurant”

This restaurant is running from past 107 years and is continued by the third generation now. The hall staffs arrange Sukiyaki pot with traditional Japanese way which made me spellbound, The meat was very tasty and had a wonderful time there with my friend in a private room.

“Very good sukiyaki ”

Established in 1912 and awarded 1 Michelin star, Hiyama is definitely the place to go for one of the best sukiyaki in Tokyo. I booked online via the website TableCheck about a month ago and the process was very smooth. My friend and I went there for lunch and we both took the Matsu sukiyaki cour...se which featured premium beef (11,500 yen for each). There’re 2 other less expensive sukiyaki courses. Given that we don’t travel to Tokyo like every other month, we wanted to try the best beef on offer. A very elegant Japanese lady in kimono cooked our meal in front of us. She’s very professional and courteous and definitely knew her job and didn’t make any extra noise while doing the cooking. The beef (she told me it’s from Hokkaido but I can’t remember the exact location) was of the highest quality. It basically melted in the mouth without being too greasy. The vegetables and rice were also very good too. We’d a room to ourselves so there’s ample privacy. The food, service and ambience all combined to create a very good dining experience. Highly recommended especially for fans of premium wagyu beef.

“Best shabu ever!!!”

There are two types of sauce: sesame and ponzu, both are served during the dinner. We have the 13.5k shabu shabu course. The service there is also top-notch. After two plates of beef, we also had some ramen! I am at a loss for words how spectacular this restaurant is. I surely recommend everyone to ...go to this restaurant!!

This has got to be one of the best sukiyaki I've had. The store has this old antique ambience to it . The set course we had was the most expensive one. The beef had perfect marbling, but to a health conscious me.. it maybe a bit on the heavy side. Nonetheless it was a delicious meal that was wor...th recommending.

Simply great food, traditionally cooked in a great atmosphere - well worth a visit. Some reviewers say it is expensive - all I can say is it's top class food and certainly good value.
