“delicious experience”
This was truly one of the best meals I've ever had, and our first experience of kaiseki. While staying in the Yokohama Bay Hotel Tokyu (of which the restaurant is a part), we went here to celebrate my 40th birthday (3 days early) with something we've always wanted to try - kaiseki. The whole experie...nce was wonderful. We went with our 8-year-old son who bravely managed his courses (with chopsticks!), while we helped him with what he couldn't finish. I didn't take photos because it seemed impolite, but all the courses were flavorful and beautifully presented. The waitress spoke English and was extremely nice and helpful. Particularly the sashimi, the duck stew, the beef/hrilled course, the eggplant(!), and the tea were incredible, but really each course was consistently wonderful. The staff also helped us select a fitting sake to pair with the meal. It's not cheap, but for a special experience, the price was appropriate. Very highly recommended!

“Excellent and very traditional ”
Oshima is a Japanese restaurant at Yokohama Bay Hotel Tokyu. We had a private room for an excellent shabu-shabu with a fabulous personalized service. Shabu-shabu is a Japanese nabemono hotpot dish of thinly sliced meat (very soft) and vegetables (different types of mushrooms, light cabbage and tofu...) boiled in water. The meal ends with wheat noodle - all very delicious and filling.

“tasty Japanese food”
We had a lunch with my family for celebrating our wedding anniversary. The atmosphere was good, the staffs were friendly. It was the first time to have dishes from Kaga (Ishikawa pref.), everything was tasty and decorated so beautifully! It's possible to have Japanese breakfast at Oshima if you'll ...stay at Yokohama Bay Hotel Tokyu (ask to the hotel).

“Great multi-course meal, not too filling”
High-end restaurants in Japan tend to offer only multi-course meals for dinner and these often serve way too much food (for me, at least). This one serves just the right amount and each dish was delicious. The matcha jelly with kuromame (sweet soy beans) was my favorite and I really like the thicker... soup in the middle of the meal.
