“Udon is the new ramen ”
When you’re in Japan Ramen is obviously a must, but after trying the udon here, I’ve added udon to my list of must-haves. The udon is simply next-level delicious. The udon’s hand-made soft texture could be tasted in each bite and the quality of the soup was amazing. From two contrasting flavours; a ...delicate oyster miso based soup had a subtle but enriching flavour, while the curry vegetable soup base was surprisingly not as rich as expected but actually quite delicate and flavourful. The fried black pig croquette was also a specialty and the sign which said, the croquette cannot be ordered alone’ made sense after tasting it, as it was crispy and delicious and I could easily understand people just wanting to stop off for a little crispy bite. But the star of this place is most definitely the udon as it’s amazing and has now put udon on the map for me as a must have when in Japan.

“Consistently delicious japanese fare”
Famous restaurant with some traditional favourites to die for. Beautiful traditional building with restaurant specialising in Udon dishes. Try the menchi Katsu and the curried ebi and kurobata udon. This has been my favourite for 3 years.

“Excellent food. Brilliant Service.”
We have been going for over ten years and the udon is consistently fantastic. Another must try is the tamago. Location is a stones throw from tsutaya roppongi. The service is very good and welcoming.

“Nice Udon Noodles”
Nice place to eat Udon noodles. We ordered Yasai Curry Noodles and they were yummy. Our baby also loved the noodles here. The family had fun. We'll definitely come here again.

“Great food, friendly service”
We were hesitant to ask for an English menu, but the server saw us struggling to Google Translate and sent an English menu our way. This shop seems to specialise in Black Kurobuta, but their wagyu beef udon was superb as well. We ordered 3 different noodle types and loved all of it. Towards the end... of the meal, we were convinced we would leave with regret if we didn’t try the fried pork patty. Thankfully, we did and the 2 patties were juicy, crisp and delicious. Awesome meal that was very reasonable by Roppongi standards.
