“Go somewhere else or get rid of the elder woman waitress.”
Thought there would be a menu since the site shows different foods . Instead all they had was sukiyaki. I love sukiyaki so cool I thought. The rice was really delicious and the sukiyaki was mediocre. There should have been much more vegetables. The atmosphere was unique and there was an elderly gent...leman whose only job was explaining the rice and its cirtues. The reason I am giving it a mediocre review is because of the woman who was serving us. She was rude and got mad at us for opening the rice bowl they brought us. We were not aware that it had to be”sit” for awhile. Then she slammed her hand on my tray and said “just put the eggshells there” not that I even asked. If she weren’t around it would have been a nicer experience but honestly needs more veggies. Too much rice and not enough main dish. I can’t believe people lining up for this place.

Our friends and us had a wonderfully authentic and traditional Japanese dining experience. The food was sensational and the room was full of ambience. The hosts were very gracious and accomodating. We thoroughly enjoyed the wholw experience! Thank you so much Sakurada and staff, we think you are won...derful people.😊

“A Great Experience”
We found this delightful restaurant on our last night in Asakusa. We were very lucky to just walk in off the street and get a table as within a few minutes of our arrival the place was full and others were turned away. We had a lovely meal where we chose three pieces of meat each to barbeque on a li...ttle grill. It came with all the other small dishes for us to try. The fellow who appeared to be the owner showed us what to do and the method of how to prepare the meal. As we had never experienced this before we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

“Go back into to the Edo Period to experience Old Japan flavor!”
Amazing experience having dined at Sakurada Restaurant in the Asakusa Taito area! Since they didn't have soy sauce during this era, the sauce is made up of sa-ke, umeboshi (Japanese salted/picked plums) and katsuo (fish flakes). Who would have thought Japanese food w/o soy sauce could taste so good...! The best was cooking our own rice crackers on the charcoal grill right in front of us! So fun to watch it "dancing" while it became brown and toasted. I will go back again if I'm ever in Japan!

“Great experience !!!”
We had such a great night at this restaurant. We were welcomed with large enthousiasm, and the hosts were so friendly to help us pick a dinner and cook the fish and meat on the BBQ. Great traditional food. Wholeheartedly recommended! A must-go for tourists.
