“Possibly the best Yakitori I've had”
Not sure if I can call this a hidden gem but it is a gem without a doubt. Food was fantastic and would definitely come back.

“A fantastic yakitori experience”
Truly a fantastic yakitori experience. Very busy with a line up often outside as it doesn't take reservations. Menu is not massively extensive compared to other yakitori places but the quality is great. One of the best places to go for an 'authentic' experience.

“A very happy coincidence”
Stumbled over this place while looking for somewhere - anywhere - to have dinner in Nakameguro. After a 20 minute wait, we were sat with the others at the bar around the kitchen. It's all chicken, and all of the chicken, and freshly made as you watch. Six chefs were hard at work serving 20 or so cus...tomers at a time, while Mr. Yoshi himself proudly watched! The guests are mostly local, and Toriyoshi Nakameguro seems to have a very good reputation in Tokyo. "This place is famous!" one of the other guests confided in us. No wonder. The food was absolutely excellent, no frills, but simply grilled chicken like I've never tasted before. Beware, customers smoke at the bar and the menu might be too advanced for small children. Very little English is spoken, but the staff are friendly, smiling and efficient. The price for a meal is very reasonable!

“Top yakatori place”
Busy busy busy....this is top notch yakatori so many creative skewers nice vibe in the restaurant surrounding the kitchen. Fresh tasty food. If you are in the area GO! X

“Japanese Yakitori with French wine”
Fantastic food with traditional way of cooking. The chicken they use is nice and fresh. The selection of vegetables are large from green onion through bamboo shoot.
