“Consistently Good Food”
Been to this restaurant several times before and decided to go there with my spouse for lunch again on this trip. Consistently good food and service. It is not cheap but not too expensive either - above average pricing for lunch sets. Really worth trying as taste is very good. And interiors are ...nice. Elegantly decorated.

“No Go unless you speak Chinese!”
First day in Tokyo & it started raining, so we ducked into Ginza Aster. It is expensive to begin with - 9,504 yen or about $94 US for 1 small bowl of Hot & Sour soup without shrimp & 1 stuffed crab claw for starters & then a simple main course for both of us. I had my soup & half my shrimp dish bef...ore my partner even got his appetizer. When asked I was frankly told they were cooking it. Great, I'm done with my meal & my partner is just starting his. The only one whom should eat here is someone who speaks Chinese. That way you get what you want & they will treat you courteously. If your a Westerner, move on to something else. Not only was the service terrible but it was expensive.

“Surprisingly Japan has better Shark's Fin than Hong Kong”
As recommended by our family friends, we cautiously made a reservation and reserved their signature Shark's fin dish. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality and quantity. They have Shark's fin farm which makes the price more affordable. We tried two types of Shark's Fin - one the normal in s...uperior soup and one with the crab meat. The crab meat ones ended up being a bit disappointing and I think the normal one in superior soup will be sufficient. For Chinese guests, I actually recommend you just have the shark's fin dish - one per person instead of sharing. All the other dishes are more suited for Japanese taste and you can savor those dishes at home. Just focus on the Shark's Fin and remember you need to reserve them in advance.

“Delicious cuisine and great service!”
It was my first time to visit the main restaurant of Ginza Aster as I've visited some branch restaurants. It's located on the Ginza street (Main street in Ginza area) and very convenient. The ambience of the restaurant with antique furnishing goods and paintings is splendid. All of the dishes we ord...ered were delicious, but I especially liked Chinese-style barbecued pork in appetizer and Sichuan-style bean curd. Service is also excellent! They tried serving the dishes at best timings.

“Luxurious atmosphere and Excellent Chinese Food”
As we stepped into Ginza Aster, the atmosphere was very nice! We found a calm escape from busy Ginza street and peaceful settings inspired by beautiful Chinese furniture. The food was great, especially I loved their Honer Walnuts Shrimp! It was so tasty with some crunchy gelatin noodles on top. Th...e appetizer plate was so beautiful and they were all such elaborate dishes! And the service was extremely good.
