“Chinese Food in the Japanese Manner”
This is probably our favorite restaurant in Tokyo. It is located on the 21st floor of the building immediately south of the Hijiribashi exit of the Ochanomizu JR Station, and immediately to the west of the Chioda Line Shin Ochanomizu Station on the subway. We find the food to be excellent, perhaps... not authentically Chinese, the Japanese prefer their food a bit less greasy and a bit less salty than the "real thing". My wife and I prefer the local Japanese interpretation. Service is excellent, there is a great view as the restaurant is on the 21st floor of its building. This is not an inexpensive place to eat. Note we have eaten at other smaller, less formal locations of Ginza Aster and this one is definitely a cut above. We have not eaten at Ginza Aster Honten so I am not comparing this location to that one.

“Good restaurant with a great view”
Ginza Aster is a chain of better than average Chinese restaurants in Tokyo. This one is on the top floor of a building to the immediate south of the Ochanomizu Station on the Chuo Line, or alternatively just to the west and a little behind the Shin Ochanomizu Station on the Chiyoda Line. The foo...d is quite good, large selection on the menu, white table cloth service at least for dinner when we ate. From the windows of the restaurant in the early evening there is a view over the famous Kanda Shrine to the north and the Tokyo Sky Tree tower to the east. Not inexpensive but not outrageous in price at least by Tokyo standards. We have eaten there several times and the food and service are consistently good.
